We highly appreciated the friendliness of the owners, the house and its comfort, the yard laid out for us and the proximity to restaurants and the marina.
Our room was facing the Cheerful Street side so it was a bit noisy in the morning (nothing to write home about).

This is a very nice house, very comfortable room. Our room was on the street, it was very noisy. Disappointed that I was not entitled to a hot breakfast even though the owner had a delicacy to warm up the croissants. Lunch, although cold, was hearty.
If there was a fan in the room, it could be a noisy air conditioning option. Inability to open windows due to traffic noise.

Rejuvenating!
Equipment of the room, nice corner to eat. The breakfast tray served in the room was plentiful, varied and very fresh. The bed was comfortable and cosy. The owner is very pleasant and hospitable. The luxurious room has a magnificent large terrace and a very pleasant view of the garden (including birdsong).

With the exception of the site and our outside visits, this was disappointing.
The place was ok...
Everything was kept to a minimum: paper coffee cups and everything else. Several cookies for breakfast. No access to a fridge and no ice for drinks or to store our food bought before we arrived at the house. We regretted that we had come so far for less comfort than at home...

Beautiful intimate and inspiring room
The room was very beautiful and inspiring. We had a room above, top floor overlooking the garden. Surprisingly, we did not hear the neighbors at all. We felt almost alone in the establishment. The instructions received for the code and number are very clear and practical (we can arrive at the time we want), which is suitable for travelers like us who improvise. Breakfast would be appreciated as it is a bed and breakfast... We went to the restaurant suggested by the B&B (Caffucino) but it was very average and the prices are above average (even in Montreal). The cookies and coffee offered in the room were appreciated anyway :)

Excellent cleanliness, location close to everything, adequate COVID measures.
Unable to connect to internet, password not working. Really strong irritant. Lunch is not included. No onsite welcome is less warm, and when you have a problem that is really difficult to resolve quickly.

Great stay in Magog. , can't wait to be back at the end of the summer
The location is perfect, calm. Neighbors B&B in front of the church and 200m from the main street where you will find restaurants, shops, a beautiful lake, a bike path. Magog is great.
The owners must have an agreement with the church so we don't have to pay for parking, but since it's only $5 a day, that's not a problem.

We appreciated but there was no staff for one night, we didn't see anyone, the lighting of the room is perfect, but the entrance to the room needs to be fixed because it was not there, there was no lunch due to covid, when all the restaurants are open with effective protection measures, we should have a discount because they were included in the room price, still got packaged cakes and proper coffee due to covid but 5th July if we think the rest is working well and very little if we think that lunch is included and that we had to find a restaurant for lunch in addition. nice clean and functional room but just for one night we wouldn't spend a week! Overall a good place to sleep!
Can't see any staff to at least greet on arrival.

We really enjoyed our stay
Location in the city center. Close to several restaurants. Access autonomy Self service for lunch 24 hours a day with a large selection. Very good coffee when you manage to understand how the coffee maker works (not very clear despite the explanatory brochure)
The toilet needs to be repaired, often comes the chain!!!

Establishment without service
The location is good, close to the center of Magog. The Abbott Pavilion is located in a different building on a quiet street.
The towels in the room were small, coarse and grey. Parking was not available as promised in the email received from the establishment. When booking, it must be clear that the booked room may be in another building, completely separate (on a different street) from La Belle Victorienne. The rooms are smaller with no baths and the kitchen where you eat your dinner is small. Impersonal and very ordinary breakfast.

Disappointed, won't go again!
The bed is comfortable.
I didn't like the self service style at reception and lunch at all. I prefer a warm welcome with one or more people, as well as a meal that I don't have to cook myself! In addition, all the glasses were poorly washed and the coffee maker did not work! So we packed up and went to a restaurant for lunch! Also, this is a very old house that needs a lot of love to be improved!

One night from 15:00 to 11:00 the next day
The breakfast was good, we helped ourselves, but some of the equipment was not very smart.
We booked a beautiful Victorian style cottage at 142 Merry North but we were confirmed 2 days prior to our arrival that we would be at another establishment at the Abbott Pavilion at 145 Abbott Street. So very disappointed and it was a poor representation of the establishment, because on the site we are shown only the most beautiful rooms, while we were in this pavilion we were on the 2nd floor in a very small room and it did not have the equipment that was offered to us. Also we had to go up to 2nd via very small and narrow stairs which my wife had a hard time crossing with some traffic issues. So sorry I will never go to this place and I will not suggest it to anyone else. FALSE ADVERTISING OF ANOTHER PAVILION NOT DESCRIBED ON THE SITE and when booking. We've been to several cottages in Quebec and it was a very nice welcome, they don't want to see us, we know we only use coded doors and we don't have to come to our front desk. Good for you Booking.com, you had to exclude this establishment because you are losing points on your bookings. Thank you Mr Clifford Therrien.

A rich and varied breakfast is left to the free choice of residents. Well stocked refrigerator. A lot of fruits. Spacious room, very comfortable and very well equipped. A chic lounge is available to residents with stylish armchairs. very nice garden and nice terrace. Quiet and very flourishing area.

A simple motel offers the best contact with its clients.
Really strange moment for BnB: there is no one at the reception, neither during our stay nor at breakfast. Just a phone number, if needed. I thought I was at the ATM. We are given a digital code to enter and manage for the rest. Mainly for breakfast, we would like to meet a member of staff. This is the first time this has happened to us and we didn't like it.

A very decent lunch. Very clean spa. Comfortable bed. Very nice tub in the bathroom. Convenient location to walk to town, it's a 2 minute walk.

As for me, I go to guesthouses to have contact and personalized service with the owners or the manager. For this reason, independent access and a "self-service" lunch do not suit us at all. We would appreciate being informed before the end of the cancellation period as it is not listed on sites like Booking. Also, I think you are misrepresenting Booking by saying you have customer car parks. The only car park is at the jetty and customers must walk to the church across from the park for a small $5 fee.

All in all a good hostel, well located
Location, close to city center everything is done on foot. Well maintained hostel. This is a beautiful place. Depending on the room, the bathroom is more spacious and depends on more.
It's not the hostel's fault, but the main one was being renovated and the hostel roommates were doing work, so it's very noisy. Mont Orford is also closed for renovations. The bathroom in the secret bedroom is very small (the former wardrobe has been converted into a bathroom). Lack of variety in lunches (do it yourself - toast / beagle / yogurt)

The hostel is very well located. Very clean. Outside there are several places to sit in the sun or in the shade. Inside is a living room overlooking the backyard. Near everything on foot. Excellent dinner at Taverne 1855 and dinner at Brasserie La Memphré. Rooms have names instead of numbers.
The fact that we do not see anyone who meets us upon arrival is rather strange. We didn't like the "self service" lunch concept.

Private balcony, spa, quality dining accessories. Quality coffee maker, fresh food, lounge available to us was very comfortable. Plenty of space and privacy possible.
Soul is not. Only a clawfoot tub was available in our room. Not too bad, but I would have liked a simple shower to wash off after visiting the spa.

La Sompteuse is a very beautiful room with a private terrace with table, chairs and wooden sun loungers. Beautiful clawfoot tub in bedroom with hand shower. Impeccable cleanliness and comfortable bed. efficient air conditioning. Simple, hearty and self-service lunch: it's nice not to have a fixed time to get up!
No interaction with the owner or staff because everything is done by yourself: check-in, check-out and lunch, which makes the experience a bit impersonal. But the instructions are very clear, everything works great and there is a number you can dial if needed.

Things are good!
We loved the decor, friendly atmosphere, our room was comfortable, easy access to the kitchen (coffee, fridge, multiple options for lunch...), parking, quick location on the main street, reception. In short, it was very good!
Luckily the AC worked (lots of background noise) because otherwise we can easily hear our neighbors. (Normal in my opinion in BB) We didn't miss anything, but everything was simple, so nothing more.
