Fantastic welcome dear Ann. Upon entering everything was well explained, including what to do in the area. A delicious, homemade cake was also prepared, as well as 2 beers and a bottle of water in the fridge. It's really nice and quiet and the apartment is really very clean and has everything in it. Lovely shower and beds, fully equipped kitchen with oven. Even towels, bed linen and kitchen towels were provided. You can enjoy walking around the hotel, but it's also a great place to visit beautiful places for half an hour. We definitely recommend The Roots. Keep it up and we will definitely be back again.

Very good house. The accommodation is beautiful, well designed, in a very quiet little village. We liked the small terrace, except when our neighbors came there to smoke.

Excellent wifi and TV. Nice bed, slept well and nice big shower (lovely). Lots of hiking and mountain biking trails from here. Hiking maps are available. Central location for a variety of travel and activities. In July and August, there is a good Wednesday market in the neighboring village of Markur. Many regional products and a landscaped covered terrace where you can enjoy products with good wine or draft beer. Recommended, very cozy. Ann and Ludo thank you again for the pleasant days we were allowed to spend with you!

Ann is a wonderful spontaneous presenter. The terrace is ideally located on the south side. The surroundings are beautiful: cities, fields, and forests. Beaver Castle (1km walk) is phenomenal. La Roche-en-Ardenne is close to shops. Cooking in the spacious kitchen is great...exactly what we were looking for.

Park View Room - The view was amazing! The room was super clean! Nice large room, cozy with a stove. Guests are taken care of with attention to detail: plenty of towels, a TV blanket, bath mats instead of a towel (which is nice for the feet), homemade cake on arrival, water in the fridge, the house is already insulated. before arrival, because it snowed, even the dishes were not "dull", but good modern and cozy plates and glasses. Super nice! We liked!

The location of the residence is excellent! Close to La Roche-en-Ardenne but in a quieter location. There you can find complete silence. Since it is also slightly higher than La Roche and we stayed in the winter, we were able to enjoy a beautiful view under the white carpet of snow, where the snow in La Roche itself did not linger. It is also the ideal starting point for beautiful walks in the region. For inspiration, you can go to a friendly hostess. A pellet stove is an absolute luxury that gives winter evenings that extra cosiness and atmosphere you are looking for in Ardennes winter.

We stayed in a charming and beautifully restored room. Close to nature in a beautiful very quiet area. Blue Velvet Cottage has a well-equipped and practical kitchen that invites you to cook. The bathroom was very comfortable. A warm welcome from the host Ann with a cake baked by her husband Ludo, water and beer in the fridge! Ann gave us hiking tips, lent us maps and was always available when needed. The hike starts around the corner. Marcouret is also a good starting point for visiting La Roche or Durbuy. The lower Markur is also great for walking around Ourtu.

We felt very welcome. I arrived much later than agreed due to traffic and bad weather, but this was not a problem. The host Ann was relaxed, very helpful, thoughtful and very approachable. The view was wonderful as you would hope when you walk into the area.
