A successful holiday for which we would like to thank you.
Good location of the hotel, especially for hiking enthusiasts. Always clean rooms and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast with a large selection. Good dinner. Free and sufficient parking options.
Unfortunately there was no room or fridge on the floor, the TV was a bit small and had no sound with a headphone jack. Balcony furniture needs to be completed.

We made a great recovery.
the location of the hotel is very good. Breakfast was also good. The menu items are of very good quality.
Too many dogs. Shower should have thermostatic mixer tap. The temperature of the water was constantly changing.

Vacation to feel good
The Gasthof Kleefeld is quietly located and embedded in a beautiful mountain landscape. Every evening the deer come to the pasture behind the house :-) I enjoyed the view from the balcony so much!! Anna and her team are very professional and courteous and always up for fun. As mentioned many times, the food is excellent. Dogs are also welcome is praiseworthy and not self-evident. You can even come into the restaurant and into the breakfast room in the morning...; It goes without saying that you should be considerate of other guests. We felt completely comfortable. Thank you very much!!

We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our vacation to the fullest. Many thanks to the entire hotel team.
The great, quiet location (idyllic in nature, quiet), the restaurant (fantastic food, very nice interior), the staff (friendly, pleasant, competent). Our dog was warmly welcomed.
Missing safe and refrigerator in the room, bathroom window facing the balcony of the neighboring room (probably an isolated case), a few more shelves in the closet for longer stays would be helpful

We had a wonderful short vacation.
The breakfast and the location were very good. The food - very good.
The food was very good - it would have been good if the selection of dishes had been more extensive. It was ideal for me, but not for my wife: too much fish and game dishes.

Wonderful holiday
Lovely guesthouse with a beautiful location, lots of animals around and from the hotel you can take beautiful walking routes. Room spacious and very clean. Nice wellness area with towels and bathrobes. Good breakfast

Everything OK with room for improvement in the hot water supply.
The room was very nice and clean. The breakfast met our expectations. The waiters were very friendly and worked very well. From the room there is a beautiful view of the in-house deer enclosure.
During the shower, the hot water temperature suddenly changes to hot and then back to cold - obviously depending on the water consumption in the other rooms.

Room 25 never
The breakfast was very good. The location is very good .
My room only had a small window with a poor view of a roof. The room has very steep slopes where I always hit my head. Room number 25 still had a closed door that someone from the neighbor always wanted to open. Very frightening. Although the description says something completely different.

A very nice holiday, in a superbly located, beautiful hotel.
The hotel is located in the middle of a beautiful forest area. Various animal enclosures with deer, roe deer, rabbits, goats and cows are ideal for children. Wonderful peace, wonderful to relax. Wonderful areas ideal for cycling and hiking. Dogs are also allowed. The wellness area is great!!! We had great weather. We can highly recommend this hotel.
Our room had a small balcony with a view of the mountains and the forest, but unfortunately we could only open the window at night as the kitchen and chimney vents were right next to the window and the smoke and kitchen smells were drawn into the room.

The surface is great, there is still room for improvement
- The room was bombastic. Very spacious and cozy. Both thumps up - Breakfast quite nice. - Great location with very good hiking/climbing opportunities
- Check in: Employees were a bit overwhelmed. It has to be said that we arrived after 8pm (albeit according to the guidelines posted on booking.com) and it seemed like they had never done this before. Otherwise your place of work is in the restaurant. - Cleanliness: Had to clean and disinfect the toilet seat. Dark remains in various places. What might that have been? Oh well. Don't think about it... You could point out to the employees again how to clean properly. Please don't fire. Otherwise everything was good. Apart from the small spots of mold in the shower. - Check out: wanted a stamp for a postcard. Comment: who sends letters these days... not really bad, but I wish there was more courtesy and empathy (hopefully the postcard won't be removed from the outbox because of this comment :-)) - Animals: I hope that the showpieces (fallow deer and ibex) don't have to spend their entire existence in this narrow area that has been assigned to them and that they get some exercise every now and then. In any case, the animals that are intended for processing in the kitchen have a little more freedom.

Beautifully located in the midst of nature.
The breakfast room was attractive with a nice view outside. The house restaurant is highly recommended, especially the game dishes. The wellness area was in good condition, the saunas were switched on at the specified times.
"petting zoo" is not entirely accurate, as no access to the enclosures was provided and the shy animals (rabbits) in particular did not necessarily come to the fence voluntarily to be petted. To minimize the disappointment, perhaps the "petting zoo" should not have been described as such, but rather as an "enclosure with various small animals". A fridge in the room would have been nice. There is no means of transport directly to the accommodation, so a long walk with a noticeable gradient is unavoidable. Without a car this is particularly unpleasant in rainy weather.

ideal hotel for a stay in SALZKAMMERGUT!
The location and landscapes. Tranquility and a good location to visit (by car) the SALZKAMMERGUT There is an elevator. We had room 29 with a south-facing balcony on the mountain side. Rooms from 19 to 26 are oriented towards the valley. Restaurant: Splendid room and everything is Austrian, therefore impeccable, abundant and large choice...Austrian. Which is very nice
The access road may be surprising, but we are in Austria so the road is impeccable which will reassure you right away!

Wonderful vacation with children and dogs
Location, view, the animals and their keeping, breakfast selection, facilities, cleanliness. We were traveling with a small child and dog and were very satisfied. We were always offered a high chair and children's cutlery. We also used the restaurant at the hotel almost every evening - very tasty, we were very satisfied there too.
There were probably a few new staff members, but it was noticeable in the hotel and restaurant that the processes were a bit rough. But things improved over the course of our holiday week and everyone was always friendly and polite.

We would like to return
Very, very beautifully located with a great view of the mountains and the animal enclosures. The breakfast room is very well furnished and decorated with lots of wood. Breakfast buffet was great, definitely something for everyone. The small wellness area is very clean and just right after a long day of skiing or hiking. Rooms very clean, beds super comfortable.
Room a bit noisy but otherwise everything was great.

A spa hotel as it should be.
The good location a little away from the main road and therefore absolutely quiet. Guest rooms are very well designed and, above all, not kitschy. Staff friendly, helpful and competent. Very nice sauna area (Krätersauna 60 degrees, Finnish sauna 90 degrees, steam bath. Very nice relaxation area, with outdoor pond.
Had a balcony room with a view of the mountainside.

All in all, a really beautiful house with great surroundings!
Breakfast was great, especially the dining room is the highlight of this house!!! The zoo is of course a great attraction, especially for children and the young at heart!
There are clearly not enough places to lie down in the otherwise very nice wellness area!

I would love to come again
The location was perfect, just pure nature. Hotel very tastefully decorated. Wellness area, small but fine. Very good food. For animal lovers exactly the right inn.
Which unfortunately surprised me very much, breakfast was between 8 and 10 a.m. and At 9 o'clock when we went to have breakfast, there was unfortunately very little choice. A real shame f

Great location in the mountains, close to the lake, great value!
Location, hospitality, rooms, petting zoo, hiking trails in the immediate vicinity, play area for children (could have a little more toys) and sauna area (furnishings) and there in particular the possibility of going directly outside from there.
Sauna area could get a little more attention: no cold drinks or juices (only tea), no shampoo, no towels, especially on the second day - so it wasn't checked or cleaned in between. Hair dryer broken. Breakfast is OK, varied - but nothing special: e.g. Chives for the eggs would be great, along with fried tomatoes or something similar. Employees greet only a little, try hard, but with the friendliness and something else.

Relaxation in a quiet, beautiful landscape, regional cuisine and attentive staff.
Wonderful location in a high valley away from traffic and tourist crowds. In-house wildlife park with petting zoo. Very good food with regional specialties, extensive breakfast buffet. Very attentive staff.
Room furnishings have room for improvement: no safe for valuables in the room, no storage compartments in the closet, little storage space in the bathroom, no refrigerator. Shower enclosure seal leaking.

Unreal experience
Beautiful surroundings, like from a fairy tale. The rooms were cleaned every day, the breakfast was great, the restaurant cooked excellent food, the view from the window of the deer and deer running freely was incredible. Wellness included in the price. We also came with our dog - you can go out for a great walk around the accommodation, they can also go for breakfast. We visited a lot of accommodation, but this accommodation has its own charm, it grew close to our hearts. We would definitely like to return in the future. We highly recommend.
The rooms are older but clean. There is no jacuzzi or smaller pool in the wellness area, but that's just a small detail :)

Nice vacation in the middle of the mountains
The house is professionally managed. Very good food in the restaurant. (The owner cooks himself). We have been there for wild weeks. Wild couldn't be more regional. High quality, plentiful breakfast. We felt very cared for. The rooms are very tasteful. The wellness department is very pleasant and was not very busy. The indoor space for e-bikes is great.

Super hotel, relaxing environment and good petting zoo for kids
Super location, not far from Salzburg, but also from other beautiful places. A beautiful secluded hotel where only in the evening and at night you can hear the lowing of deer or other creatures. The petting zoo around the hotel is great for small children. Good breakfast, friendly staff.
We weren't big fans of dining at the hotel...but tastes vary.

Good breakfast. Very beautiful place in the middle of the forest. Especially recommended for families with children due to the large number of animals. Also ideal for walking. It is also near the Wolfgangsee.
The shower hose was broken. was bruised. The cabinet handles wobbled. But they fixed it.

pure nature around the hotel, with a dog the best you can expect!!! The dog was warmly welcomed by all the staff!!! By the way, the staff was very pleasant and helpful... All the requests we made, including the furnishing of the room, were immediately fulfilled. The food was super super good!!!

It is highly recommended!
A wonderful location, a real private nature reserve with a fully equipped garden. Quiet and peaceful, clean, tidy and wonderfully organized. The breakfast is great and varied, the restaurant is excellent, the location is close to all the northern lakes and everything in the room was very comfortable. Free and plentiful parking, highly recommended!
The only thing that was a bit problematic is the issue of the balcony, which is actually shared by three rooms and does not allow for privacy!

Great retreat for mountain and hiking
We really liked a really good village inn. However, without a car, it would not be so good, because the place is quite secluded. The wellness center is unusually beautiful for a three-star hotel.
The food on the menu was really outstanding. The breakfast, however, could have been a bit more varied in terms of toppings. But there was always enough and certainly for every taste.

Expensive price for the value
A very rich and varied breakfast. a spacious room. A quiet and green location, in the heart of a farm with many animals, very suitable for a stay with children.
We arrived on very hot days, the room was hot and it was a problem to get a fan...also there were many flies everywhere...even in the dining room. The owner's attitude was not helpful and pleasant towards us. Also the price was very high.

Perfect location of the hotel, we went on trips to the lakes, zubačka, hiking, the mountains, the forests around.
In one word, beauty! The hotel is in the middle of a deer park, all the animals around are amazing. Breakfast excellent, staff nice. We made trips around the area, returned to the hotel in the evening, wellness and then went to dinner. It's really not to blame.
As I already wrote, there is nothing to complain about. The fact that there are occasional flies is normal on a ranch with animals, and that they don't serve Czech beer in Austria, that has to be taken into account.

Relaxing days in a beautiful area.
Very good breakfast, really something for everyone, fresh fruit was available every day. Friendly staff, tried every guest. We had a spacious room with a large bathroom and hallway, everything was very clean. From the balcony it was possible to observe the animals of the internal hunting economy. Some hiking trails run right from the house.
The restaurant menu is a bit small and a bit overpriced.

Great place surrounded by greenery. Super friendly and helpful staff. Good sauna. All in all a very well maintained and clean facility in a fantastically beautiful landscape. Good way to eat in the evening. Numerous excursion destinations in the vicinity (accessible by car).
Unfortunately breakfast was only replenished slowly from time to time.

A very good stop in the heart of the Salzkammergut and close to the lakes.
out of town and quiet. animals and morning walk (1 hour) before breakfast. for us it was just a stopover to enjoy the St Wolfgang concert next door but we will be back to enjoy a few more nights.

Sweet again.
The apartment is good, big, clean! The view of the mountains and the sunrise was very beautiful! The breakfast was excellent. The surroundings are great.
We didn't like that other guests were smoking in front of the entrance just below our apartment. So we couldn't continue to sit on the balcony and we had to go to the room with our baby.

Nice hotel in a beautiful location
Hotel in a wonderful location, in the mountains in solitude, surrounded by lots of animals (deer, deer, goats, sheep, rabbits...). The rooms are clean and functional, but you can see that they are already a little older. The advantage is that you can also stay with a dog for a fee. I also appreciate the restaurant, which excellently cooks local specialties.
I would welcome it if the staff also spoke English, and overall I would expect that, for example, I would not have to translate the rules for staying with a dog from German. Mattresses on the bed too soft for my taste.

Fabulous for those who love nature ...
A great place for nature lovers, there are several hiking trails right from the hotel. Excellent restaurant prepared with local or self-bred ingredients. The existing wellness center is great for a 3 star hotel. The staff were polite and friendly.

The rather expensive menu unfortunately didn't have a single vegetarian (no fish) dish, let alone a vegan one, so I could only take the appetizer, goat cream cheese salad, prosciutto and toast, and my husband ate 2 slices of ham.

The hotel is located in the middle of nature, with a direct view of the fallow deer. The food in the restaurant is great. The entire hotel was clean and tidy. The balcony was a good size with a direct view of the wildlife (very relaxed). The junior boss was very relaxed and friendly, thanks again for everything!
The room itself was quite small and well-planned (considering the value for money). - The shower could have been bigger (it was already quite cramped) - There is no refrigerator in the room - The prices for drinks at Restro are a bit overpriced for my taste

The apartment was in a very unfavorable location, right above the entrance to the guest house and the restaurant, where every evening there were guests with many children from the outside (an advertisement from the hotel with a large number of animals on the territory of the hotel), which was loud until about 22:00 There were and then there was loud conversation in front of the balcony until about 23:00, we were never able to find out who! At temperatures above 30 degrees a day, ventilation was difficult, not to mention quiet. Also, there was a smoking area from the restaurant on the lower balcony and smoke from around 6pm on our balcony and then into our room which made ventilation very difficult. All in all, it was pretty annoying.

Relaxing!
The location of the hotel is perfect. It is highly recommended to go hiking in the wildlife park along the different routes! The breakfast buffet is very good. The staff are very friendly. The room / apartment is very large and clean. Buy fresh towels even though you are only staying for the weekend. Also ideal for families with children!
If you have very sensitive ears or have sensitive sleep, you should bring earplugs with you. The hum of a 24-hour engine (for a trout farm) may have bothered some. It didn't bother me, it worried my parents. Everything else was fine.

Excellent accommodation, kind and helpful staff.
Nice and helpful staff. Even Slovak-speaking waiters. So it was very pleasant. Possibility to stay with 3 dogs. Beautiful surroundings and walks for every "condition". Wonderful calm in the evening. Excellent food, which is evidenced by the hotel's popularity with guests from the area.
I would appreciate a wider bed and a slightly more comfortable mattress. A kettle, mugs, could be in every room. They were only in the apartment. Although I can't object, I was offered to go to the bar for hot water at any time. So I don't take it as -.

Sweet again.
The staff are very friendly. The location is a little off-center, surrounded by nature, which is very important for me personally. The kitchen is very good. The breakfast buffet is well sorted.
The only thing that could be improved would be if the breakfast buffet was open from 7am instead of 8am so you can leave early for any tours.

Words fail me, I am grateful for being there, the staff were very friendly, very clean, the food was amazing. The place is very beautiful, not only for children. To everyone who is close to animals and nature wants to turn off, I can only recommend this.

A week of adventure with wild animals, great food and clean rooms.
The breakfast was excellent, the selection was ok, the quality was very good and the food overall was always excellent (from game to fish to pastries, tried everything). The staff are very attentive and always available; Our room was very well equipped and clean, the bathroom was modern and very clean. The quiet location and the wildlife around the hotel are fun to watch. Plenty of walking opportunities. There is enough parking space. We rode our bike every day along the road, and to top it all off, the drive to the hotel was always an attractive ending.
Maybe a refrigerator and a safe in the room.

A short break at Strobl
The Kleefeld is beautifully located on a hillside with beautiful mountain views. We also greatly appreciated the peace and quiet, as well as the game that you could watch from our room. The rooms are very spacious and clean.

We had wonderful days at Gasthof Kleefeld, I can only recommend it.

Some of the staff who had breakfast were very rude and refused to cooperate. If the buffet is almost empty at 8.45 and no longer refills, although breakfast can be eaten until 9.30, it's amazing. If some employees are reluctant to bring a jug of milk or refill finished tea, this is not satisfying.

We were very comfortable.
Our room had a great view. From the restaurant one could observe red deer and small animals. The atmosphere was rustic and cozy.
Due to poor vision, I would like a magnifying mirror. Hair dryer could be better. Instead of a small table, a table with a normal height will be more practical.

It was a perfect match! Very nice staff, very pleasant atmosphere, cozy dining room, elegant alpine style restaurant, great breakfast and delicious food! The magnificent mountain landscape and wildlife park around the hotel made our stay very special!

Great location in the middle of the zoo. Rich, delicious breakfast. The restaurant is also very good. Starting point for beautiful walks and hikes.
Check in, although very efficient, was not very welcoming. No guest card and little information about the hotel. We didn't see the boss until we checked out.

An exceptionally beautiful and quiet place. Very good restaurant (be sure to book in advance!). Convenient, central and inexpensive connections to many attractive destinations in the Salzkammergut. Very good WiFi connection in all rooms.
The breakfast was very good but a little repetitive in the long run. The staff of the house is very nice and helpful, we would have liked a bit more "active cordiality" from the management of the house (welcome, route recommendations, questions, study materials, ...).

An absolutely perfect vacation, from A to Z. The ideal environment for those who prefer to spend their vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. First-class staff with a star, excellent cuisine, everything fast and always with a smile. Breakfast perfectly fine. Each room has a pre-assigned table, so no jostling for a seat as is customary elsewhere. Wonderful activities for children in the vicinity of the hotel, sheep, cows, fish, goats, deer, doe right next to the hotel. A wonderful walk above the hotel past other roe deer and ibex enclosures with access to the Wolfgangsee lake view. A swing, swings, a small lake for swimming, the possibility of feeding the animals. Other trips are within a few kilometers, Schwarzensee, Bad Ischl, Hallstatt, waterfalls, St. Wolfgang, Mondsee etc. etc. We had a dog with us, no problem. You can even go to a restaurant with it. It is only necessary to observe that he does not sleep in bed. You just need to bring a cot or put a blanket over the small couch that we had in our room. Ideal socialization for the dog, he got to know the smells of all the mentioned animals, which are very friendly. View from the terrace directly onto the deer enclosure. They were a little noisy at night, but nothing that could not be survived. On the contrary, where you will experience it... We will definitely come back! Keep it up, I love this hotel.

Very good stay in the Salzkammergut.
The place is beautiful next to the mountain. Animals roam nearby (goats, deer, rabbits, etc.). The breakfast is good, the restaurant too.
The staff is a bit cold and aloof.
