Stylish hotel in an ideal location
Great hotel in a very good location, you just have to go over the Nibelungen Bridge and you're in the main square of Linz. Ars electronica very close.

The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Linz. Lobby very attractive, rooms modern and spacious with air conditioning, large bathroom and separate toilet rich breakfast friendly staff The small terrace at the back would be an ideal, quiet place to take a snooze.........
but unfortunately everything seems very neglected and unkempt (poor bartender, no one wants to sit here anymore!) Garage in the house, unfortunately a bit expensive!

Good value for money
The hotel is conveniently located right next to a tram stop. You can be in the city center in about 5 minutes. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The reception staff very friendly and helpful. Parking garage available for a fee. The sights can be easily reached on foot or by tram.

Great hotel for a city tour
Everything was great, the breakfast was unusual, rich and tasty. The staff at reception and in the breakfast room were helpful, friendly and also willing to give good tips for dinner. The old town can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. The hotel is less than 3 minutes away from the Danube cycle path.

Right in the center and perfect for a city tour
Very comfortable, right on the Nibelungen Bridge (city center can be reached on foot). Parking spaces available in the basement (for a small fee). Uncomplicated arrival. Functional but elegantly equipped. Extremely friendly and competent staff. Breakfast extensive. Everything is very neat and clean. We really enjoyed it as a family (parents and 2 adult sons). Thank you for everything :-)

Impeccable hotel
A friendly welcome at reception, the rooms are clean and there is everything you need inside. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and the location is perfect for a visit to Linz.

Average place. It's acceptable for a day or two.
Absolutely average hotel. Relatively close to the center. Convenient parking in the underground garage.
The staff failed to fulfill the reservation, except for the manager, they were also rude. We were in rooms facing the ruined side, where the rooms are connected by external traffic, which is confusing for me (anyone can walk in front of my window and look through it. Coffee maker and safe did not work properly.

It worked.
The hotel is very easy to reach by tram. The rooms that look out onto the inner courtyard are particularly quiet. The breakfast is very rich.
Only the pastries need improvement, the bread is dry and the rolls are not baked well.

Perfect for shorter stays
Very friendly staff, good explanation at check-in about how to enter the hotel after reception is closed, use lifts, parking,... Very good location, just a 10-minute walk from the center. Breakfast was tasty, something for everyone.
Chairs on the terrace. More expensive parking price for what it is and duration.

Very nice short break/4 days.
The reception staff were very friendly. Rooms very clean, new towels and housekeeping every day upon request. Very nice location - quickly in the center.
We are used to a different breakfast in Germany - but it was ok. It's all ok.

Good starting point for a city trip to Linz
I already know the hotel from a few stays in Linz. The hotel is in a good location, not far from the tram and easy to reach from the train station. The rooms are decorated according to themes.
When we arrived, the air conditioning apparently wasn't working (but it wasn't that important at the time and I didn't look further into the cause). The next morning after breakfast the system was running.

Not 4 stars compared to other hotels.
The team at Arte Hotel was very friendly and nice.
Unfortunately the hotel is getting quite old. The rooms are very small, especially the bathroom, and everything is relatively worn out. The breakfast was ok, but nothing more.

The stopover was really nice and definitely whetted our appetite for more.
The rooms were clean, the breakfast was very good and there was always something, The location was really good, close to the festival or fair that was happening. (Something like Linz style in Straubing)

The balcony wasn't a balcony at all, the room was dirty, the staff was unfriendly, the sauna couldn't be turned on or you had to put it on yourself. Safe didn't work, no precise instructions from staff about parking or other options in the hotel.

Hotel in a very convenient location, very close to the bridge that leads to the main square. Rich but fairly basic buffet breakfast. Very welcoming room, small bathroom, but all in all I would recommend it.
In the "sweet" part of breakfast there are all industrial things. The bathroom is small.

Enough for a short stay
Rooms with a view of the inner courtyard have the advantage of being very quiet. The room was big enough and equally equipped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The breakfast buffet provides you with everything you need. You can walk to the city center in about 15 minutes. The location was ideal for us.
There was no separation on the balcony from the neighboring room, the handle on the balcony door almost fell against you. If the inner courtyard belongs to the hotel, a more attractive design would be highly recommended.

Pleasant hotel in a central but quiet location, with good service!
Central location and nice room with a view of a green courtyard, making it very quiet. Breakfast was served in a bright winter garden.
Unfortunately, the television didn't work and the safe was a bit difficult to use. There were only a few cosmetic and bath products available.

Design and furnishings stylish and appealing.
Nice large room, breakfast extensive and balanced. The breakfast room is divided into small units and beautifully designed. There is a buffet, but it is still possible to have breakfast in peace and in a nice atmosphere.

Every small detail of the room has a sophisticated design, modern solutions, unconventional solutions (the glass wall of the shower cabin can also be made visible from the bedroom by pulling a curtain).

The room and bathroom were super clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast great - plenty of choice.
No chair on the balcony, no separate balconies between rooms. Underground car park had a very unpleasant smell.

The rooms are good, beds and mattresses are above average, the room facilities are good. Bathroom okay: toilet and sink are good, shower is a bit old.
The only thing we didn't like was the ventilation in the room wasn't really effective.

A hotel to run away from, more like a youth hostel.

Some of the staff didn't know their own way around, our room was dirty, the shower curtain was moldy, the safe was at floor level, the closet was small, the furniture for children, no storage space, the shower head wasn't adjustable in height - you always had to hold it in your hand hold, the bed uncomfortable and you wake up when your partner turns over. Curtains too short - it shines brightly into the room in the middle of the night and in the morning. Reception not manned at night, so room swaps not possible. Left early after an overnight stay.

Great hotel near ARS-Elektronika
The hotel is close to ARS-Elektronika and there are a few restaurants nearby and there is also a Billa just opposite. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the old town. The room was large and clean. The breakfast selection was great. Since I have Zöllakia, I was very happy that there were own pastries. There was even gluten-free oat milk. There are also many milk alternatives.

Location in Linz was very good, but was ultimately quite disappointed. I can't recommend it.
Good breakfast, good buffet selection, coffee machine OK, 2 different breakfast rooms, very cozy lounge.
Room cleaning was a big problem, out of 3 possible room cleanings only one was because I requested it at the reception. Otherwise nothing, very disappointing!! Room service totally overwhelmed, is a management problem that needs to be solved. When checking out, no one asked at all whether you liked it etc., but the receptionist went off to the office.

Perfect for my business trip
The breakfast was good and you could really enjoy it because it was never loud in the room. I was very happy that there was a garage, as there is a spa park zone around the hotel. The location is great!
Since there is a sauna in the house, a bathrobe in the room would have been good. (I didn't ask for it though, maybe I would have gotten one upon request)

Not for guests without dogs who like things to be clean.
The rooms are all designed for guests with dogs. However, we did not have this information when booking. We had strange hair in the bed, stains on the upholstery and blanket, and a shelf was full of dog hair. The hairdryer was completely dusty and dirty, the shower hose was leaking, the toilet seat was loose and kept slipping, the cleaner came into the room shortly after 10:00 a.m. in the morning and complained that we were still in the room even though we had checked out until 11 a.m. Since we only discovered the problems after a concert at around 12:20 a.m. and there were no more staff in the lobby, we informed the receptionist about it the next day when checking out. At first she asked why we didn't report it straight away, then she could have reacted and given us another room. But then she didn't charge us anything for the night or the garage. We thought that was good, but we won't book the hotel again.
The cleanliness is absolutely improvable, the attention to detail is missing. Someone should check the rooms after the cleaner. The breakfast buffet was constantly cleared, the tables weren't cleared, and the waitress couldn't keep up. The staff tries hard, but is overwhelmed.

a good hotel in Linz, expensive breakfast and expensive parking
Everything you need is there, comfortable bed and the side facing the courtyard is pleasantly quiet
Room was very small (until now I've always had the large business room, it's more worth it), breakfast at €18 is way too expensive for what's on offer, parking lot is way too expensive (I parked for free at the urnenheim car park instead and is public drove to the hotel)

Recommended city hotel for a short vacation
City hotel in a very good location, right next to Ars Electronica. Lots of recommendations for travelers, tasteful rooms.
The glass wall in the bathroom takes a lot of getting used to. A kettle in the room would be nice. The pillows are very flat.

OK for one night, but definitely not a 4 star hotel
A clean hotel. Good location. Good breakfast. Comfortable beds.
Rooms very small, no information about the hotel neither from the staff when checking in nor in the room regarding the sauna. No restaurant in the hotel. Bar without a drinks menu, even when asked there was no menu only the answer was that there was beer, wine, Jin Tonic... A beer and Jin Tonic then cost €16.70. Hotel definitely doesn't correspond to 4 stars.

I would have expected more for the money.
Lobby is very modern and well maintained.
The balcony is getting old and very unkempt At 7:30 we were woken up by the cleaning staff shouting down the hall. Bathroom smells very musty.

Central location in Linz
- The size of the room was ok - Breakfast with a good selection, everything was very tasty - There was a small park right next to the hotel, which was very convenient with our dog. You can also go for a walk a little further away directly along the river - You can walk to the city center in about 5 minutes.
- Unfortunately you can hear the traffic very loudly from 5 a.m. onwards, so my girlfriend couldn't sleep from then on (better insulation would be good) - Underground car park directly under the hotel, but very expensive. Next time I would rather park directly on the street, it's cheaper - Beds were not particularly comfortable - I was told that I could take breakfast out of the price, but this was contradicted at the lobby on site

Hotel near the old town
Very good breakfast in a very nice breakfast room.
When we arrived the room was very cold, 18 degrees. The heating was switched off. Floor and mattresses very cold. It wasn't until hours later that the room became warmer. Hard mattresses.

The hotel could be turned into something special with a little more arrangement -
Basically, the hotel's facilities are not bad and are modern.
The room was neither cleaned nor the beds made for two nights - I was then told that a note would have to be hung on the door if I requested it - unfortunately I don't know this from any other hotel - this was only communicated at checkout. Much of the breakfast was not refilled until then upon request and different jams were mixed together in pots - it wasn't really appealing

A beautiful hotel close to the center with imaginative spaces.
Beautiful premises of the hotel, which is excellently furnished. Helpful and friendly staff who fulfilled our wishes and were willing to help with problems. Excellent and varied breakfast, the lobby of the hotel has a wonderful atmosphere.
Very soft mattresses by our standards.

Room not clean…. From the underground car park to the hotel, the first door to the elevators was opened and there was an extreme smell from the toilet. Breakfast, well. As already mentioned room was not clean. There were black hairs on the bed covers. Floor not clean. Definitely won't be vacationing here again. Mattresses extremely bad.

Friendly, stylish ambience with a feel-good factor.
Very friendly staff at check-in. Parking in the underground car park. Easy access to the house even at night using a key card. Breakfast: Great selection at the breakfast buffet, also for vegetarians and vegans, with lots of spreads (curd cheese base), vegetables (including caprese) and milk substitutes. Very great selection of tea (Sonnentor). Flavored water (with fruits). Large selection of muesli to mix yourself, yoghurt lovingly prepared in a mason jar. Tasteful furnishings in the winter garden with a view.
Everything was perfect. Maybe you could cover the Bundt cake during breakfast so that the cuts don't get so dry.

Location and parking are good. The city center is easily accessible.
Blue-yellow moldy box with personal care products in the room. When asked at reception a new one was handed out. Conversations in the next room could be heard, unfortunately there was no good sound insulation. No daily room cleaning.

Arrival and departure were quick.
not very clean, dust everywhere… shower door doesn't close properly. The curtain that was supposed to prevent people from seeing into the bathroom is so thin that it can be left out. Cleaning was specially requested, but still not really clean. 4 stars?? Breakfast was underwhelming for the price. Some of the staff don't understand German.

Great location of the hotel and excellent breakfast.
Great and especially rich breakfast with a large selection of pastries (salty/sweet), cereals and teas. There were also options to choose alternative dairy products (yogurt, milk). A smaller room with a balcony and a view of the courtyard, clean and tastefully furnished. An interestingly designed bathroom with a glass wall that increased the entire bathroom space. The location of the hotel is a minute from the tram stop, which we were in the city center in 2 minutes.
The only minor beauty flaw was the spring mattresses.

Very disappointing compared to the Arte Hotel Salzburg.
The location of the hotel is good, directly opposite the town hall and close to Ars Electronica. You just cross the Danube bridge to reach the city center. There are a few restaurants near the hotel.
When two double rooms were booked, one was initially given a single room that was on the second floor (the other room was on the 5th floor and when booking it was stated that the rooms should be close to each other). The rooms were also not clean. There were crumbs on the floor and it was sticky in some places, there were limescale stains on the shower walls and glasses (see photos). In one of the rooms the shower head holder was defective (no height adjustment possible) and there was a constant "singing" noise when showering.

Very pleasant for a short stay to visit Linz.
Location to public transport
The walls to the neighboring rooms are very thin. Open balcony so that everyone could look into the other hotel room if they wanted. Showers were partly black with silicone joints.

Very good for a business trip.
The location is very good next to the main bridge. Tram 1 stop to Hauptplatz. Good parking for a car in a garage for 16,- per day. The upper floors have mini balconies. samsung flat screen tv.
I personally didn't like the breakfast very much. The ham or bacon was pale and undercooked. Somehow I didn't like it. I'm not sure if this is related to the bio or the presentation. The fact that I had to personally go to REGISTER to check out in the morning to hand over the keys, even though I paid for it, is annoying. I was lucky and I ate two times, and I was the first three times. But under the pressure of time...?

If we could have made coffee in the room when we woke up, we would have been completely satisfied
The comfortable, clean large room and its location from the center.
There was a capsule coffee maker, but in a dilapidated condition, in an inaccessible place. We only received a capsule upon arrival, no more, even though it was included in the offer. The hair dryer was broken.

We were promised a little more from the Arte Hotel, overall satisfactory.
Breakfast buffet is ok. The staff is friendly and attentive. The location of the hotel is ok. The staff is friendly and attentive.
The amenities in the room are not good. Floor lamp and balcony door handle require repair. Unfortunately the beds were not made properly. The curtains did not hang correctly. There was a description of the painting, but there was no painting on the wall. Unfortunately, only wines in the bar. Without turning off the lights in the minibar, we burned out all night.

Because of the best location, this hotel is highly recommended.
The hotel is in an excellent location and has access to public transport. It also offers free parking spaces in the underground car park, and it was also possible to charge an electric car without any problems.
We couldn't find the advertised rich breakfast buffet. In this category of hotels, we expected better for an extra charge. The fitness room says "access for one person only" and there is only a small Finnish sauna. So the wellness center will just get a star since at least something is available. At the reception I was surprised that the national language (German) was not possible.

Ideal for a business trip
The room was solid - almost a deep shelf by the window. Very, very good reception at the reception, despite a very late arrival. Everything is very clean and tidy. The breakfast room is quite cozy and the breakfast really offers something for everyone - with good quality.
The shower has a glass panel in the room - this wasn't a problem for me alone, but I wouldn't want it with two people in the room. Black mold on the silicone joint in the shower needs to be fought.

There was a very nice room - 201 very comfortable bed, toilet and shower in separate rooms. Fast Internet. The shower is very pleasant. Very good breakfast, will stay here again when we return to JKU.

Functional hotel with a touch of a boutique hotel, with very good access to public transport, located close to the Danube. Good for short breaks and B. a suitable tram ride along Pöstlingberg. Good cafes (also for breakfast) in close proximity. The room had a mini-bar, the bathroom had glasses and a bottle opener, hair dryer. The hotel lobby is very comfortable, the staff is quick and friendly.
Pumping from the stairwell is unpleasant (probably architecturally irreparable). I would like to find body lotion in the bathroom and a kettle in the room.

Modern city hotel for business and weekends
Very friendly staff, if you don't mind the close proximity to the old town, very good location. Ample underground parking, entry/exit is somewhat hidden for first-timers, and only one lane in both directions (so takes some getting used to). Everything is invariably new, clean, modern furniture; generous breakfast buffet. A word of advice: the patisserie with the original Linzer Torte on the left around the corner across the road is relatively close!
Especially the size of the room - for a family with a child (2 years) but very cramped. If you're not comfortable, a glass wall separates the sleeping area from the shower/toilet using a thin curtain as a privacy screen. Reminds me of Scandinavia, but (really) shouldn't.

The room was very quiet. The beds are very comfortable. The shower is wonderful. The decor in the breakfast room was wonderful, very nice atmosphere all around. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. Excellent connection with public transport.

Nice quiet stay within walking distance to many points of the city.
The staff were very nice and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of space in the breakfast room. The coffee machine works great. The mattresses are very good.
The rooms are a bit small. What was annoying was that the balcony in all the rooms on the side is solid with no separation, so the balcony door was also closed at night.

Modern and comfortable hotel within walking distance from the center
Modern hotel a few steps from the center, about 400/500 meters. from the main square of the city and next to the science museum of Linz which is a good show at night, very kind and welcoming staff..... the guy at the reception despite my poor english gave me all the information I needed , they let me put the bike to the garage under the hotel without making me pay anything and for that I thank them very much, comfortable room, clean and well planned, although not very big ....... however for me everything is ok, the only remark, perhaps partly negative is that the breakfast is not particularly varied, especially with regards to the sweet part, which was really very bad, otherwise everything is ok.

The location (very close to the Danube) means the old town and center can be easily reached on foot. The hotel is attractive, friendly staff, nice rooms and, if you like, a very good breakfast.
This time I had the business room again (overall I recommend it because it's a nice size and the room has its own coffee machine ;-)). Unfortunately, this time the room did not have a balcony (they were sold out): be sure to ask for a balcony!

Nice hotel but needs work.
This assessment is difficult for me. The hotel is quite attractive, with a very nice lobby and breakfast in the conservatory. The room took some getting used to; also for a hotel dedicated to art but clean with a stocked minibar (albeit with a lot of booze :-D). The location in Urfare is ideal for an active holiday in the city center and on the Danube. Important places in the city can be reached on foot. The best way to get to the hotel from the main train station is by tram if you don't want to take a taxi.
There were a few little things that ruined the experience of the trip. According to Booking.com, the hotel was available from 15:00. After that, I arranged my arrival. In the morning they called me and asked what time I would arrive and that the hotel closes after 2:00 pm. They sent me instructions on how to get the number card from the safe at the entrance. It worked smoothly but why please is the room advertised as only available from 3pm? Through Booking.com I could choose if I wanted a single room with a single bed or a double bed for single use. I chose the latter, which was booked on special request (no price change). Shortly thereafter, I received an email from the hotel that this request could be granted. However, I had a room with a single bed. It wasn't a financial loss, but the question here is why is something being confirmed that can't be confirmed after all? The room itself was really a matter of taste. The yellow metal table and the orange shower in the middle of the room were not to my liking. Interestingly, the toilet room was huge. The breakfast room was really very nice, I found the breakfast a bit basic. There were buns, cold cuts, cheese, some confectionery, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, oriental basket. I missed out after a previous hotel stay on a longer trip to Austria compared to z. B. fruit salad, regional or important to me, lactose-free alternative to butter (which is solved in most hotels with small packets of Becel). It also annoyed me a little that the receptionist had already said goodbye to chatting with a colleague when you were paying and you were still packing the bill and maybe you had a question? These are all small things, but they are crucial for value for money.

Specialized expensive hotel where design is more important than practicality
+ central location + quiet (rooms facing the courtyard) + friendly staff + cosmetic accessories
- Cleanliness (stains on the sheets, dust clouds under the furniture) - very stuffy air in the rooms - Shower with glass in the bedroom and only with a translucent curtain, so the toilet is clearly visible. - The rooms are quite small and cramped, you have to negotiate with 2 skinny people who go where because you can barely walk past each other - automatic daily change of towels - high price for little service - outrageously expensive breakfast (17€ per person) Tip: there is a very good and cheap breakfast (5.50 euros per person) directly opposite in the open-air dining room or around the corner at the pastry chef (about 10 euros per person)

Minimum standards met
Checking in by phone or keeping the key in the safe (3pm) is very impersonal but probably due to lack of staff. The breakfast buffet is ok, but yesterday's pastries are absolutely not suitable for a hotel. That in the rooms on the 4th floor you can see a roommate from the bed in the shower and sometimes in the toilet (glass window) is architecturally strange.

Linz pleasantly surprised us

Good for short stays
The room itself was nice and clean, a bit more comfortable than a B&B for example, but a bit overpriced. Direct access from the garage to the hotel. The bed was comfortable.
Only small, thin pillows. Few functioning TV programs. Due to the lack of soundproof windows, night rest ended at 5am due to traffic. Garage overpriced 16€ as well as a mini bar.

Expensive garage, bar equipment is very poor. There is no drinks menu and only 4 bottles of beer. There was not even Fanta or Sprite. Prosecco also could not be offered. This is not worthy of a 4 star hotel.

Balcony without chairs, without separation from the neighboring balcony. There is no trash can in the toilet, not even for toiletries (not at all). Breakfast is not recommended, packaged butter, jam, other spreads, rejection of waste looks different. On Sunday there were yesterday's rolls!!! The staff (only one lady) at the breakfast buffet tried very hard but were clearly overtired, tables were not reserved, scrambled eggs, juices etc. I had to constantly replenish late. I waited in vain for fresh rolls that day.. there were no more croissants either, 17€ is too much. The breakfast terrace was overgrown with weeds, was not open, tables and chairs had not been cleared, but the ashtray was full. I expect a little more from 4 stars even if my requirements are not very high.

Unfortunately there was no room on the balcony. Poorly cleaned (hair in the toilet, fingerprints on the tape on the mirror, dirty lampshade. 1 socket and coffee maker where the furniture was too small and it was almost impossible to make coffee. There is no explanation at the reception regarding night access and an underground car park (without We would spoke english the night before!) unfortunately there was also no art in the room other than a painting. It may well be that the white wall in the toilet is considered art and it's chic not to have a mirror I emphasized this in my email It's my birthday and unfortunately nothing came from the hotel too bad we stay in hotels a lot and i have to say it was a bit disappointing for the price i wouldn't book there again and it still annoys me!!!

Modern and quiet hotel in the best location on the Danube
I had a large business room: good beds, quiet location overlooking the courtyard (sleeping with the window open was not a problem), bright and modern. The ideal bathroom and toilet were separated by a bathtub and shower. The reception closed early, but check-in and especially parking in the hotel's own garage was easy. The breakfast was individually cooked and very good for me as the only guest at the time.
Little things: unfortunately, there is no kettle for tea, a capsule coffee machine is an "exotic" option. So my Nespresso capsules were useless. The promised dressing gown was not.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good location in relation to the city center (on foot). Parking space in the underground garage. Late check-in is possible. The room was very quiet and clean, no carpet! The bedding was very skin-friendly (not too starched).

The hotel is located right in the historical center and offers a very good art experience and is very nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are kept very clean and the mini bar is also very well stocked.
I'm sorry that breakfast is not included in the room rate per night. You may think twice before increasing the room rate by a few euros, and then the guest will receive breakfast. The price of breakfast is too expensive!

Short stay 1 night
The location is good and easy to find, very well connected to public transport (tram). The layout of the room is very good, additional toilet. The design of the room is tasteful.
Unfortunately, the rooms had very poor soundproofing, I could hear my "neighbors" very well and the noises in the corridor, both talking and moving chairs, suitcases, etc. The desk in my room was only partly usable.

Hotel Arte is located north of the Danube, close to the center of Ars Electronica. The city center is within walking distance. The hotel is modern, our courtyard view room was quiet, well appointed with a comfortable bed and clean. Since we arrived after midnight and the reception was already closed at that time, we knew in advance if access was possible and how. We got a code to open the key box on the right in front of the hotel and we could easily take the chip card to open the door and the room. The garage is also open at this time but we found a parking space in the blue area in front of the hotel. We were very pleased.
