location and view
it could be cleaner
Wonderful place with mountain views and except for the cowbells, the wind turbines are very quiet when the wind is unfavorable, and during the day the occasional motorcyclist lusting for self-importance on the street above, peace of mind. The house is perfectly cut and in excellent condition. We enjoyed the terrace and were happy to use the existing barbecue. The good weather prevented the use of the sauna, although the plains are pleasantly cool at night. We only had nice neighbors and the reception was open to all questions, concerns and suggestions. We want to come again!!
In fact, there are two hotels on Weineben. "Weinofenblick" cozy/quirky, very pretty and very tasty! The "Gößlerhütte" seems very lifeless and uninviting, even if the pre-baked buns you can order tasted better and the location is perfect. Unfortunately, the connection with the Almhüttendorf reception is not optimal here either.
The place is certainly very beautiful. On the slope overlooking the mountains and across the Lavental, a wonderful sight in fine weather. It was very quiet, especially in the evenings. In the daytime, when the weather is good, a lot of motorbikes drive along the nearby pass - but this does not bother you much, besides, you yourself go on hikes and excursions during the day and are not there at all. By evening, traffic almost stops completely and you only hear the bells of grazing cattle, very idyllic. The local support was very friendly! The mattresses are super comfortable. The pellet stove in the living room worked great and warmed up the house very quickly. At night at an altitude of 1600 meters it becomes quite cool. In the surrounding valleys, it was constantly above 30 degrees during the day, and on the Weineben it was a very pleasant 18-24 degrees. Even when the sun is scorching, wooden houses retain little to no heat, so you can get a good night's sleep. An added plus: you walk out of the house and you will find many hiking trails, very well signposted and easy to walk. Thus, we spent two very busy weeks with the best weather. But we also traveled a lot by car: shops 25 minutes, restaurants no less.
We stayed in one of the first built huts in Almhüttendorf. These are twenty years old and they look accordingly, namely shabby. In addition, apparently due to Corona, there was a backlog in repairs, due to which some things could not be tracked. In general, it was carelessly equipped. However, it was unpleasant to communicate in advance with the Belvilla company (for some reason owned by TUI, but then a Dutch company, which in turn belongs to the Indian company OYO). We booked through Booking and the rest through Belvilla. Shortly after booking, we received an email reminder that we had not paid the deposit. If this is not done within 3 days, the trip will be cancelled. What deposit, how much? So I called and ended up in an Indian call center. I got billed right away. Exactly the same game with the remaining amount: a reminder without an account, a call, then an account. More than unprofessional. On the spot, I heard the same, but also really criminal stories from other vacationers: trips were actually canceled without explanation, two families were canceled on the day of arrival, when they were already in Austria - simply incredible. There are also overbookings, so that vacationers can no longer be accommodated. Pure globalized chaos! Onsite support is doing its best to deal with these arbitrary actions. But these international corporations are the real evil. hands off! In case of damage, no one can be held liable due to the involvement of an international company. By the way, Almhüttendorf has a website and phone number, just call them directly.
Location: very remote, for shopping you need to drive at least 23 km. But for that it was very quiet and at night it was very quiet and still no traffic noise.
It was nice and nothing more to complain about.
Totally pleasant staff, hassle-free check-in and check-out. Easy control of sauna and pellet stove. The kitchen is well equipped. The location is fantastic and we will be back!
Unfortunately, the garbage is not separated, but it would be a pity, it would be easy. But otherwise, only little things: knives are blunt everywhere, there was no toilet paper either. The washbasin is no longer the youngest.
At the beginning you have to say first of all the location is fantastic. It is quiet and surrounded by forest. The hut was very clean... The view from the terrace leaves nothing to be desired. In addition, there is a barbecue area and storage space for suitcases, etc. It also contains pellet bags. Lockable of course. Cows wake you up in the morning... Simply beautiful. The rooms are big enough. The bathroom has a shower/toilet and a sauna! There is another toilet on the first floor. The living room also has a sofa bed and a pellet stove. Which, in turn, heats up quite a lot. The kitchen has a dishwasher/hob, microwave, toaster, coffee maker. So pretty much everything you need. Especially for families, the location and surroundings for hiking are just perfect. All I can say is it's worth it!!
In the upper rooms the WiFi signal is sometimes weak or trying to get in again. This would be the only...
Nature, hiking, food in the Weinofenblick (guest house next door) - highly recommended! Klopeinersee 1 hour drive - very beautiful.
Great location! Highly recommended in hot weather as it is always cooler at higher altitudes. Very nice lady at the front desk and very nice and functional houses. The area also offers many hikes in the beautiful alpine pastures. Our "domestic cows" are always welcomed in the morning.
Great location, super friendly lady, great hut equipment including sauna ....
The staff were super perfect, nice and friendly, the hut is well equipped, clean and very well maintained. Carefree living package :)
Everything was more than perfect, but the communication with TUI was absolutely terrible. Answers came either too late or did not come at all, are not available on the phone, it is pointless to contact them! We highly recommend contacting the host directly and booking everything directly with you. TUI is unfortunately incompetent and only evokes meaningless thoughts on vacation, which in fact should serve as relaxation. For our part, we will never contact TUI again!
The location in nature was perfect
Excellent condition and its own sauna. The location of the alpine hut is simply magical. The fireplace gives off heat quickly at the touch of a button. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The sofa in the living room could be more comfortable.
Very spacious with a terrace. There is a sauna. The pellet stove gave off heat quickly. It was needed at 1650 meters to heal.
