The location is very good. Close to the bars and restaurants of the city, and to get to the center it is very walkable. The staff was very kind to us and always willing to help us. The clean and comfortable room, enough for the weekend.

Excellent stay
The location is excellent, super close to Av. Aristides which is one of the main dining spots in the city and is also located in a super safe neighborhood. The accommodation is great, a super comfortable bed with a private bathroom and the hostel is super quiet. Breakfast is delicious, served by the bakery attached to the hostel, the breads are amazing there. The reception is great too, they showed us several tours and helped us with the reservation. We hadn't booked tours before going to Mendoza so it was great that we managed to arrange everything through the hostel itself. Would definitely go back.
The shower had a little clog in the water outlet, but nothing serious.

The location is good.
They give one access card per group (there were 3 of us) and then on weekdays, in case of entering separately, they were annoyed if one rang the bell (it seems they did not take into account that we did not have a card for everyone). If you wish to receive additional cards (access keys to the hostel), an additional fee is charged. Also, on the one hand, the breakfast is rather poor; and, on the other hand, in our case, we were not billed for the payment of the accommodation service (in addition to having requested it) for payment in “cash”.

Balance between price and service.
The charisma of the staff, very attentive. Simple but cozy room, comfortable bed, clean linens. It should be noted that the bathrooms are shared, comfortable, clean, with soap and paper.

TOP hostel.
I liked the space of the place: very spacious barbecue, patio, living room. The hosts are cool, super attentive, friendly and kind, as well as thrown ideas for excursions, they will answer all your questions. The breakfast is very good. The cafe next door is excellent and very well stocked. The location of the hostel is strategic and the entrance is very secure with a card and code. Guests complete the general wave of place, 10.
There were no nightstands and/or individual sockets for each bed in the rooms, so "slippers" are needed so that several people can connect their cell phones, and it is also necessary to use a flashlight to move around the room at night without waking up. to your roommates. The security method for entering the hostel (card + code) is perhaps redundant and complicated. Breakfast is poor, you have to pay for extra sandwiches. It should be clarified that none of what I mention lowers the level of the place.

Excellent quality of all services, everything is impeccable, every host was very friendly, cordial and attentive. Lizzy and Marcy are the cutest in the world! And the guests are infected with this energy. The location couldn't be better. Without a doubt, I will recommend it and will return when I can. Thank you for making me feel so comfortable. See you soon!
As a suggestion, I would like breakfast to start earlier so that I can have breakfast before going on excursions. But I emphasize that there is always access to the kitchen in case you want to do something yourself.

Good, but with a minimum of details ..
The bread is excellent, but the coffee was always cold. The facilities are comfortable and pleasant, the space can be shared perfectly and the attention of Lisey and the boy who accompanied us in the mornings is also excellent...very accommodating.
Wifi is lousy, coffee is, I repeat, cold, and at 7:00pm we had no hot water, and sometimes the water didn't come out right for a swim in the shower.

Beware, they make illegal payments without prior notice
The premises are in very good condition.
I booked a private room with shared bathroom for 2 nights for $13,896 + $2,918 tax and ended up paying $19,300 for the booking fee and 10% more for card payment. I didn't see the comments warning about this and they would have served me well. They informed me about the surcharges on arrival, saying that this is automatically notified when booking, I showed her that there was no message, she told me that it was not up to her, that she should still charge. You know how frustrating it is to find surcharges without prior notice to the reservation. When I give him the card, he tells me that he has to charge me 10% more to pay with a credit card. I told him that this is not only offensive, but also illegal, that credit card surcharges are prohibited under Argentine law. He called the manager and they told me again that this is what they should have charged me or I can cancel my booking and book on their page and that way they won't charge me a booking fee but a 10% surcharge must be charged, yes.or if. I was very worried, I spoke respectfully, and the answer was no. I explained that the credit card fee for businesses is 1.8% at prisma and 4% to 6% at MercadoPago. I had to ask for an invoice 3 times to see if they were going to place an illegal surcharge on the invoice, they did. They sent it to me when I checked out when I told them I wasn't going to leave until they sent me the bill. I paid $19,302 for two nights in a private room with shared bathroom: room rate plus booking fee and 10% surcharge on all of this plus 21% VAT. Crazy. I made my statement when it was time not to charge me extra, giving them the option not to, including the entire stay, to apologize and cancel the payment and charge what should have been, and they didn't.

Very good experience although a bit expensive
The rooms had large lockers. The bathrooms were well stocked and the hostel was always clean. The breakfast was very good. It gave me the feeling that everything was very well organized. Very good experience
I think the hostel experience has become a lot more expensive for travelers. Previously, it was much cheaper than a regular hotel, in this case the hostel seemed a bit high to me. On the other hand, in the kitchen, sometimes the thermal would jump if two or three items were connected at the same time. I understand that heating appliances consume a lot of energy, but in the case of a crowded room, this issue must be resolved or at least somehow warned during this time so as not to interrupt cooking.

The best, without a doubt, is the location. Half a block from Aristides, a street full of bars and traffic. The guys that work there are really cool, especially Juan Pablo and Mercedes!
There was a bad smell in the bathroom on the days I didn't get my room cleaned, I guess that was the case as we were shared by 6 girls. The bunks were very high and uncomfortable, if you slept upstairs you couldn't sit on the bed because you would hit your head on the ceiling. Very bad breakfast. At the time of payment, they charge much more than what is indicated in the booking, be careful with this!

Good value for money. In general, everything is fine. Rooms and overall cleanliness are good. Rich, simple breakfast. The guys at the reception are very smart, always ready to help.
I rented a room for 6 people and there were 7 of us. We had a bathroom just for us, but there was no regular cleaning. The air conditioning failed for 2 nights in a row, it seemed to work in the "ventilation" mode. We complained, but the technician was with covid. I was offered to change the room to one of 10, but I decided to stay in the one in which I was. This has finally been fixed. The bunk beds upstairs are very close to the ceiling and it's hard not to push them up. I think it's just a matter of getting used to.

Very good bathrooms. Very good attention of the staff: carefully solve the problem that arose with the air conditioning. Beautiful patio to be. Large kitchen and good common areas.
We had a problem with the air conditioning, but had a good predisposition to solve it. The breakfast could have been a bit more complete with a few more things.

I liked the well-ventilated room overlooking the street. There was air conditioning and everything was very clean. The room is well maintained and looks like new beds. Bathrooms were cleaned frequently. Good internet signal at all points in the Hostel and excellent attention by the hosts

I really liked the hostel, much nicer than in the pictures. He has very good energy and Fernanda, Rodrigo and Alejandro are great, they gave me great tips for excursions and were also very cool. The breakfast is delicious and adapts to the tour schedule. It is very well located close to bars and restaurants so you can walk back to the hostel. My experience was excellent and I left very happy and grateful to everyone in the hostel!

It is quite clean, very well located, friendly staff. Nice garden to sit in, lots of cooking utensils, tour recommend and sell. Comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. Free towels are provided.
They have no reception at night, we are alone. Although the kitchen is comfortable, it has only two electric burners that take a long time to heat up. I changed rooms because wifi does not extend to the whole hostel and there are no outlets for everyone.

The location and attention at the front desk of one of the girls (the one in the afternoon) is too friendly!
Pillows almost in a row, it is very uncomfortable to sleep on them. Lots of noise in the mornings (I don't know if they had a construction company or whatever), the bathrooms were always dirty and it's a mixed type of sports showers that don't serve the doors or place for clothes well during . Breakfast is monotonous. However, it's cheap and well located, it's the only thing that can be salvaged, but I wouldn't stay here again.

The atmosphere and the breakfast are very good. This is a great place for those who are traveling alone and need to move everywhere. And this is an especially quiet place compared to other hostels that are open 24/7.
Not that I hate it, but they have to implement safety features in bathrooms, such as installing grates in shower pipes and a bath mat, because the floor is slippery and people can get hurt. Everything else was perfect.

Great hostel in a great location.
The attention of the staff is incredible, on any shift. Breakfast is simple but tasty, warm homemade bread and croissants, also warm; jams, sweets, fruit and juice, excellent. The premises are in very good condition and in excellent condition (let's see, the main person in charge of the condition of the place is you as a guest). Incredibly equipped kitchen with what you need, impressive. The rooms are relatively spacious and comfortable, and are well connected to other hostel amenities. It has a swimming pool (for a fee) and a very nice patio with a barbecue area with a side barbecue. It is located 50 meters from the main avenue for a drink or a snack. I will definitely be back.
The wifi in the rooms (which got through the AP) did not work for our 3 nights. Only one of the routers on the ground floor worked. Very thin pillows that are uncomfortable to sleep on. Perhaps this would separate the male and female souls. The photographs show personal suitcases under the beds (at least in the quadruple room) with a key and a lock. Upon arrival we were told that there were no more locks, that they needed to have their own lock.

The staff have a good atmosphere of this place!
The staff are well located, very friendly and take the time to make good recommendations so that you can get to know the city. On the other hand, the area in which it is located is ideal, as the main street with bars is 50 meters away and San Martin Park is a few blocks away.
The bathroom and shower room should be washed more often. It can be seen that they do this every day, but after a few hours the cleaning would be perfect.

Very good option for living in MDZ
This is as seen in the photos !! I liked the atmosphere of the hostel, willingness to help, clean and tidy. The location is great, spacious room with a super comfortable bed, A / C, good storage space and a private bathroom. For breakfast there is homemade bread and delicious croissants !! They cooked us a great barbecue one night !! A beautiful puppy lives in the hostel !!
From the room came the noise of those entering or leaving the hostel. For improvement: Place plugs near the bed and bedside table. It would be great to add ham and cheese to breakfast, which I think with homemade bread and croissants!

The breakfast was very good. The room had air conditioning and a private bathroom. The staff (in the area of physical care) were very nice and helpful!
I didn’t like the initial pre-departure treatment when I asked by email for a bed under the bunk as I have knee problems. I always ask for this at the hostels at the beginning of the booking, and I have never been denied this request. This was the first hostel to respond to my email stating that they do not guarantee a lower bed as it depends on the order in which guests arrive. However, when I arrived the requested bed was provided (I do not know if this was luck or if they decided to comply with my request), but I did not like the treatment at the time of booking. But inside the dorm, when I lived, I was treated very well, unlike the online treatment. I didn't like the noise made by the guests at night. I suggest starting breakfast earlier as many people choose tours that pick up from the hostel at 7:30 AM and currently breakfast only starts at 7:30 AM. However, the team should be congratulated as they always provided food that was ready before 7:30 in the morning. I also suggest installing wall outlets near each bed, as I had to place my cell phone away from my bed for charging and lie on the floor for other guests to step on.

All staff are very friendly. They provide information on tours and departures, as well as taxi calls, etc. Great location, comfortable and clean rooms, wifi working fine, full breakfast, air conditioning in common areas, well equipped kitchen, pool table. Very satisfied!
I would have improved the frequency of cleaning in the shower and bath sector;) There was a definite difference between the price we noted when booking at the time of booking and the price we had to pay, they told us that since no fees and taxes are shown when booking but they are always displayed, so I don't know if it is a hostel or a booking error

The croissants were crispy yes, the bread for breakfast was also very tasty as they bake it right there. All administrators are very cool and have the best disposition to help you with everything you need. The mascot of the hostel is THE MOST, the same puppy who wants to play almost all day if he does not sleep!
It would be nice if you were assigned a specific bed number at check-in to avoid confusion. It's all!

Ubication. This is the only moment I would come back for. It is located in the best area of the city.
Very dirty and rundown bathrooms. The shower room also left much to be desired; water pressure was minimal. The rooms were overcrowded, it was very difficult to rest.

I liked the location of the hostel, half a block from Aristides, where there are many bars and restaurants, and also close to the center and everything near the terminal (at the exit I walked... about half an hour). The hostel is good, the place is as in the photo.
What I didn't like is part of the bunk, it's very close to the ceiling :( and it's quite uncomfortable. I slept in the first room and there was a lot of noise, but if you're tired after that, you won't even notice take it easy

good for what they pay
Both the room and the common dining area were very clean. Modern, large and immaculate bathroom. It is very quiet here (I specify, I went in the low season). Great location. It is just half a block from Aristides, the main food street with many bars and places to eat. Very sure. Close to San Martin Park; Las Heras Avenue (where you can book tours) about 10 blocks away; Center, 20 quarters approx. There is a Carrefour store 10 blocks away. friendly people. Good value for money.
Many kitchen appliances have expired or deserve repair: some buttons on the microwave don't work properly; the coffee maker didn't work; the toaster is more or less worth it to run; the electric kettle was short (of course, this is an electrical problem that needs to be solved); cups are made of plastic and already have a strong musty smell (it would be wise to change them to ceramic or glass cups, which do not have this problem); the kitchen, unlike the rest of the hostel, was not very clean. I clarify that this is the fault of the guests, but it is clear that the woman who cleans does it once a day, and the sink was covered for the whole day, even at breakfast; breakfast is quite poor (only jammed bread/smeared cheese/dulce de leche; croissants were served once; milk - as I was told they don't have yogurt - and cereal), however it was very filling and they did have apples or oranges , to which some kind of fruit is always added. If they improve this item, they will work better. They could improve communication with guests as for example I didn't see them hiring excursions until the afternoon before I left when I saw brochures at the front desk but on the side of the window. If you don't pay attention, you won't see it, and it was never offered to me.

Fine!!
The location is great, just 1 block from Aristides street where there are many bars and restaurants to dine in. Optimal comfort and cleanliness is very good, the guys from the hostel are all good vibes and predisposed to any request. If I had to return to the city of Mendoza, I would return to Jacques Mathe without hesitation.
Check-in is from 14:00, so for some of us it is difficult that we arrived in the city in the morning.

The rooms are in perfect condition, air, good mattresses. With boxes for suitcases.

Great location. The hostel is located in a very good area, 1 block from Aristides Villanueva, the main street with many restaurants and bars. In addition, it is 5 minutes from San Martin Park and the center can be reached on foot (max 20 minutes). The staff is very friendly and has a great location.
The breakfast was a bit poor, buttered toast, jam and a treat. There was no fruit for a day, as you can see in the photos. As a suggestion, I would add fruit or natural juice, eggs, and ham. As for the room, I stayed with my cousin in a double room with its own bathroom. As part of the services offered in the room, we did not have a TV and the hair dryer had to be requested from the front desk every time we used it. It would be great if at least the private rooms had an exclusive hair dryer so you don't have to go and ask for it in your pajamas.

We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. Order and cleanliness in an excellent location. And above all, the attention of the guys at the reception, always ready to help! We would return without a doubt!

Great location just half a block from a lot of bars in a quiet and clean area. Excellent breakfast!
the height of the bunk, the person who sleeps on the top bed is tying a few bumps on his head and the lockers were broken, meaning you couldn't hook the lock.
